Ni Hao! My name's Patsy, and I'm taking Mandarin Chinese at Mystic Middle School, Connecticut. I'm in the May/Junes, 6th grade. Our Chinese teacher's name is Mr.Feng, (Pronounced Fung) and his classes are always awesome! We've learned alot in his classes, and the last few ones, we've played games that improve our language skills. One such game is,, where there are 3 numbers on the board, written in Chinese. There are 2 teams. (In this case, my team was the Pinatas, and the opposing team was the Squirrels)One team chooses one number on the board, and the other team chooses a member of their team to go find that number on the board. Seems easy right? Well, the catch is..... First, you are blindfolded. Second, you get 12 seconds, counting in Chinese, by the other team. If you get the right number, (None of your hands are off the number,) Your team gets 2 points. If it's half and half, one hand on, the other off, you get one point. If you miss completely, the other team gets the point. From Chinese classes, we've learned alot, like, what our Chinese names are, (Mine's Dan Sha). The weird thing about learning Mandarin, is that I was originally adopted from Asia, except, not from China, a small peninsula next to China, Korea, South Korea. Everyone thinks I'm Chinese! Well, that's all for now! Bye!

We are very interested in the game you play in Mandarin class.
Now in our English, as our foreign langauge, class, we seldom play games. Much writing and reading work to do!

We love to read your description about Mandarin class and are also happy to hear you love Mandarin class.

Hope to hear more things from you!
