Simple Machines - Group #2

This video and writing is about simple machines and how they work. The people in our group are Cammi, Arianna, Larry, Kiyella and Donell. As a group we went around the school to interview teachers and students about simple machines. The first was a pulley, the seconded was a wedge, and the third was a wheel and axle. We interviewed our principal Ms. Bates, the bookkeeper Mrs. Morganelli and a student named Sarah. This was our simple machines writing and video. We hope you enjoy it.

Simple Machines - Group #6

Hi, our names are Lindsey, Amani, DJ, Chris and Meschack. We are doing a project about simple machines. We interviewed a few people; Mr. Gutwald, he is a 5th grade teacher, Ms. Rollins, she is a kindergarten teacher, and Mrs. Fitzgerald, she runs the media center.

We taught alot of people about simple machines that didn;t know what they were. We learned that when you applied force you create kinetic energy. Before you do kinetic energy you will be creating potential energy, which is stored energy.

We hope you enjoy our video.

School rules at San Filippo

Dear friends and epals.

Here are some of the basic rules that students have to respect when they are at school and they attend lessons.

We have a display in our classroom that shows these rules

1. We raise our hand when we have something to say;

2. We work silently during the lessons;

3. When someone enters the classroom, we greet and we wait in silence;

4. We do not shout;

5. We do not offend anyone;

6. We do not run between the tables;

7. We play with everybody;

It’s very useful for us to learn about your school rules and we thank you for sharing your culture and your school style with us.

Greetings from Scuola Primaria “San Filippo”, Città di Castello, Umbria, Italy!

There are six simple machines that you will soon discover what they do but for now lets just stick with the names. The names of the six simple machines are the following: pulley, lever, inclined plane, wedge, screw, and the wheel and axle. Schools Rules at PRES

They are finally ready for posting. After several snow days and many class periods interrupted our School Rules Videos are finally ready! Students in my fifth grade technology classes used a wiki to collaborate and write their scripts. Then they recorded their videos using a flip cam. Finally they used iMovie to create their movie.

PRES has three main school rules, they are Be Respectful, Be Responsible, and Be Safe. Students were assigned one of the rules and created a video which showed an example of a rule in our school, they also showed a counter-example of each rule as well. It's up to you to decide which is the right and wrong way for each video!

Enjoy!

Be Respectful
