To Gary Chou

Ciao Gary Chou!
Thank you very much for your last message dated 28 June 2008 and for appreciating our Country. I am glad that you made a research about rugby, so now you know more about this sport.
I think that in Italy, like in other parts of the World, everyone of us is learning what Peace really is and I think that many people are peaceful because they have found peace in their hearts, in their minds.
But I also think that Italy it is not yet a completely peaceful country, for example because there are still people that are too rich and people that are poor; we continue to use metals to build weapons, we waste a lot of money for that instead of using it for people in needs; environment is polluted in various regions and places and I think we should immediately stop to pollute nature, because air, water, earth and fire are our Life.
This is something everyone of us has to learn once for all. The thoughts we think, the feelings and the intentions we have, the language we speak must be peaceful and can make the difference.
Children are Creatures that are very close to the origin of Creation (Love) and If adults learn to remain peaceful and innocent like children definitive peace will be established on our Planet and among our Communities.
So, I would really recommend to you all to read a fantastic story about explorations, children and peace; the book is by the writer Enrique Barrios and you can find it in Chinese/Taiwanese language:
Dearest Gary I wish you a fantastic holiday!

Italy in my eye(Gary Chou)

I think Italy is a peaceful country, and the students in their school are good at drawing, every answers from teacher Andrea have a picture from their students. In Italy the students like to play rugby, and there is no student play it at schoolso I find rugby's rule:

Main article: Comparison of rugby league and rugby union
Distinctive features common to both rugby codes (league and union) include the prolate spheroid ball and the ban on passing the ball forward, so that players can gain ground only by running with the ball or by kicking it. As the sport of rugby league moved further away from its union counterpart, rule changes were implemented with the aim of making a faster-paced, more try-oriented game, in the hope of increasing attendances at games.

Today, the main differences between the two games, besides league having teams of 13 players and union of 15, involve the tackle and its aftermath:Union players contest possession following the tackle: depending on the situation, either a ruck or a maul occurs. League players may not contest possession after making a tackle: play is continued with a play-the-ball (AKA: "Scratch")In league, if the team in possession fails to score before a set of six tackles, it surrenders possession. Union has no six-tackle rule; a team can keep the ball for an unlimited number of tackles before scoring as long as it maintains possession and does not commit an offence.Set pieces of the union code include the scrum, where packs of opposing players push against each other for possession, and the lineout, where parallel lines of players from each team, arranged perpendicular to the touch-line (the side line) attempt to catch the ball thrown from touch (the area behind the touch-line).In the league code, the scrum still exists, but with greatly reduced importance. Set pieces are generally started from the play-the-ball situation.

Many of the rugby league positions have similar names and requirements to rugby union positions but there are no flankers in rugby league. The result of these variations have led to rugby union being considered a traditional form of rugby.(come from Wikipedia)

Because Italy is part of the European Union,so they can go to other countries easily, and they meet different countries people often.Taiwan is an island, all around it is sea,it is not so easy to go to others countries without visa.

To Gary Chou

Hello Gary Chou. Thank you for your question.
In our class, Gregorio is a good rugby player; he trains twice a week in a local rugby club of Città di Castello.

You play rugby with an oval ball and you use your hands to pass the ball to the other players.

Have a look at this site to do a reaserch about rugby and obtain more details.
